“Color Me Murder” by Krista Davis is a light-hearted, cozy whodunit mystery that will entertain you from start to finish. Set in Washington’s historic Georgetown district, interesting bits of rich history are revealed throughout the story.

Our protagonist, Florrie Fox, is a young, single bookstore manager and adult coloring book author who is about to have her mundane life disrupted.

As a favor to her boss, Florrie moves into a cottage on his property in her dream area of Georgetown. Her excitement is shortlived, however, when she learns her boss is a suspect in a murder case and has been arrested. The police have a strong case against him, but Florrie believes he is not guilty. She must cross her personal boundaries to find the killer to prove her boss’s innocence.

“Color Me Murder” is book one in Davis’ “Pen and Ink” series. The reader is introduced to eccentric intellectuals and other colorful characters like Zsa Zsa, who wears her eyelashes so long they touch her eyebrows when she smiles. There is adventure, a good mystery and more.
