Online Jury Orientation

Jury Orientation must be completed prior to serving as a juror on a trial.  The orientation typically takes a little over an hour and will provide basic information about juror's responsibilities while serving and what jury duty entails throughout the two week term of service.  Additional documentation will be received during the term of service.

After completion of jury orientation, a Juror Certification form must be completed in order to serve as a juror for a trial.  This allows the court to ensure that jurors are compensated for their service and mileage.  Even if a juror chooses to wave their per diem and mileage, the juror certification form must still be completed, as the court must keep record of the juror's selection.

The Deschutes County Circuit Court provides online jury orientation for the juror's convenience, in lieu of in person jury orientation.  If a juror prefers to be provided orientation in person, please refer to the jury summons received for directions on how to proceed with in person attendance.
