Position Announcement

The Adjutant General, on behalf of the Governor, is seeking veterans who are citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to serve on the State Veterans' Commission as a member-at-large.

We seek to fill to one member-at-large position, whom, by statute, must be a Vietnam Era veteran. All applicants qualified will be given due consideration.

Vietnam Era Veteran Member-at-Large: July 12, 2022* – ends on 12 July, 2026

* The appointment period of begins upon selection

The Nomination Committee is looking for those citizens of character and competence needed to enhance the operations and functioning of this important commission which advises the Adjutant General, the Governor, and others while advocating on behalf of all the commonwealth's veterans.

The application period begins October 16, 2023. The deadline for submission of a complete application as explained in How to Apply (section below) is December 15, 2023, at 4 p.m. without exception.

Please note that the application must be submitted via email with the required attachments as one PDF document in the proper order to be accepted.  Hardcopy submissions will not be accepted. If errors are found after submission, a complete resubmission is allowed until the deadline above. Note in the email that this is a correction to a previous submission.
