Welcome to the Bronx Metro-North Study remote open house, a safe, socially distanced way to make your voice heard!

Since launching the Bronx Metro-North Study in 2018, the Department of City Planning has held a variety of public events to listen and learn about what’s important to you regarding new Metro North service planned for the East Bronx. The materials shared here are draft recommendations and a long-term vision that reflects what we have heard from the community and you over the last few years. This remote open house offers an opportunity for you to reaffirm or suggest changes to those draft recommendations.

While the COVID-19 pandemic has changed our lives in many ways, it has also changed the way we must interact.  This remote open house is one tool that will allow us to continue to listen and plan to be ready for new Metro North service in the Bronx.

Welcome and we look forward to your continued feedback!

Remote Office Hours

Remote office hours provide a convenient time and place for members of the public to ask questions and offer ideas to the Department of City Planning, to help ensure the coming stations support the community’s current and future needs.

Talk one-on-one, or in a small group calling from the same device, for 15-minute bookings every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

How to reserve office hours:
Office hours can be reserved here. You can sign up for the remote meetings up to 30 days in advance.

What’s Next?

Hunts Point and Co-op City
In the coming weeks, the study team will host remote conversations to talk with you and your neighbors about the planning work around the Hunts Point and Co-op City stations.

Subscribe to our mailing list to receive updates on those sessions and the planning work.

Morris Park and Parkchester/Van nest
Bronx community members provided ideas and feedback on the draft recommendations for the Morris Park and Parkchester/Van Nest station areas throughout the spring and summer, via the remote open house, workshops and office hour conversations. We are consolidating this input and updating draft recommendations to reflect what we heard.

How will my feedback be used?
All feedback gathered over the coming months will be used to guide the development of a final plan for the station areas, to be released later this year.
