Severe Thunderstorms in the Southeast U.S. Saturday; Flash Flooding Threat for the Northern Gulf Coast

Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms appear possible across portions of the Southeast and Carolinas on Saturday where a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) has been issued. Heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding tonight into tomorrow morning The highest threat will be for areas along the I-10 corridor including Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Gulfport. Remember to not cross any barricades and avoid driving through flooded roadways.
Severe weather is expected to affect portions of the area tonight. Another large complex storms could impadt the area later this evening into the overnight hours. Make sure you have multiple ways to receive a warning if one is issued for your location, especially as some of the storms will occur overnight when you are sleeping.
