This position is located within Contracts and Energy Services in the Office of Power Marketing at the Desert Southwest Region (DSW), Western Area Power Administration (WAPA).
At the full performance level, the purpose of the position is to serve as a principal expert/project manager for developing and negotiating unique/complex multi-functional contracts for which there may be no contractual precedents or existing policy; develop and implement new policies and procedures ; routinely represent Western in presenting and defending power marketing proposals/initiatives with the outcome of reaching consensus with senior staff from Federal/State/Tribal Government, and other utilities; provide technical advice and guidance to Regional/CRSP managers, supervisors, and staff on emerging power marketing policy issues, and recommending strategies for dealing with emerging issues. Provide field assistance to inform customers about Western's marketing and Energy Services (ES) programs.
