An entrance pass is required to enter Rocky Mountain National Park

•  Do you, or someone who will be traveling in your vehicle, already have an Interagency Annual, Senior, Access, Military, 4th Grade or other valid entrance pass? If so, you do not need to purchase this digital site pass.
• Only one park entrance pass is required per private vehicle (not per person). There are several options available to choose from. Park entrance passes are connected to the passholder, not the vehicle. The person whose name is on the park pass must be present inside the vehicle.
• Site Passes purchased on Recreation.gov are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• Are you interested in upgrading your 1-day vehicle pass, 7-day vehicle pass, 1-day motorcycle, 7-day motorcycle, 1-day individual or 7-day individual pass to an annual or lifetime pass? Park entrance passes can be upgraded in person at the park's entrance stations.
• Beginning on June 1, 2023, Rocky Mountain National Park will be moving to cashless payments at entrances and campgrounds for all fees and payments. Most credit/debit cards and digital forms of payment are accepted. Traveling only with cash? No problem! Visitors with cash can purchase most park entrance passes from the Rocky Mountain Conservancy Nature Store located at Beaver Meadows, Fall River, or Kawuneeche Visitor Centers.

Planning to drive through Rocky Mountain National Park?

• Please be aware that Trail Ridge Road is closed to through traffic for the winter/early spring season. This seasonal closure on Trail Ridge Road is at Many Parks Curve on the east side of RMNP and at the Colorado River Trailhead on the west side of the park.
• Closure points on the road may fluctuate - For the most current information on Trail Ridge Road, call the Trail Ridge Road recorded phoneline at 970-586-1222.
• Trail Ridge Road is not designed to be an all-season road, with 11 miles above 11,500 feet, few guard rails and no shoulders. Winter conditions of drifting snow, high winds and below-freezing temperatures occur above 10,000 feet.
• Trail Ridge Road normally opens the last week in May, weather permitting. 

Rocky Mountain National Park's 415 square miles (265,807 acres) encompasses a spectacular range of mountain environments. From meadows found in the montane life zone to the glistening lakes in the subalpine zone and to the mountain peaks located in the alpine zone, there is something for everyone to discover. Along the way explore over 300 miles of hiking trails and incredible wildlife viewing. 

All visitors at Rocky Mountain National Park are required to pay an entrance fee. If you already have an Interagency Annual, Senior, Access, Military, or other valid entrance pass, you do not need to purchase this digital site pass. Only one entrance pass per private vehicle is required.  

You are required to show proof of this pass at the park's entrance gate. It is strongly recommended to print out or download this pass on your mobile device before reaching the park's entrance. Cell phone connectivity in many areas of the park is unreliable and very limited. 

Be ready to present the passholder's ID must each time you pass through the park's entrance station. The passholder must be present in the vehicle.

Over 4 million people visit Rocky Mountain National Park each year. Be prepared for and expect long lines when entering Rocky Mountain National Park. Purchasing this pass does not expedite entry into the park.

Passes are non-transferable, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen and are void if altered or reproduced.
