Multnomah Falls is a popular Pacific Northwest destination located about 30 minutes east of Portland, Oregon. Fed by underground springs from Larch Mountain, the flow over the falls is a spectacular view with water plummeting 620 feet (188  meters) in two sections.

Built in 1925, the Multnomah Falls Lodge is on the National Register of Historic Places and the area is also along the Historic Columbia River Highway.  The lodge features a restaurant with a to-go menu, snack bar and gift shop.  The plaza is open for outdoor dining with tables spaced for social distancing and viewing areas of the falls above.

It is important to keep in mind that while the Multnomah Falls Recreation Area and the Historic Lodge will be open, Benson Bridge spanning the base of Multnomah Falls, as well as the trail to the top of the falls and the loop trail to Wahkeena Falls, will remain closed.

This popular recreation area was closed for several months due to the COVID pandemic and reopened in mid August.  The  Forest Service in partnership with Oregon Department of Transportation, and Multnomah Fall Co., Inc. welcome visitors to Multnomah Falls and Lodge through a new timed reservation ticketing system requiring tickets through Recreation.gov.

Plan ahead for your visit as the area opens with COVID precautions in place for your safety
