Philipse Manor Hall State Historic Site welcomes everyone to our beautiful little park in the heart of downtown Yonkers. Just blocks from the Yonkers waterfront, Philipse Manor Hall was used by four generations of Philipse family members, their neighboring tenant farmers, and the enslaved people who worked in the house, on the property, and at the mills. Built next to the Nepperhan River near the Hudson, this site was for thousands of years home to a Munsee Lunaape fishing village called Nappeckamack. Philipse Manor Hall State Historic Site is located at the corner of Warburton Ave. and Dock Street. The main entrance for pedestrians and to the small parking lot is on Warburton Ave.

Driving: Accessible via Broadway (US Route 9), the Saw Mill River Parkway (Henry Hudson Parkway and Mosholu Parkway), Cross County Parkway, and the New York State Thruway (1-87/Major Deegan Expressway).
Train: The Yonkers Train Station is three blocks down the street from Philipse Manor Hall. The Metro North Hudson River Line and Amtrak both service the Yonkers station.
Bus: Westchester County Bee-Line Bus routes: 1, 1C, 1T, 1W, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 30, 32.
Subway: The New York City Subway lines 1 and 4 connect directly to the Bee-line bus of the same number. Each arrive within two blocks of Philipse Manor Hall.
Bike: Via the Empire State Trail and the Old Croton Aqueduct State Trail and then local streets.
Parking: Limited parking available in the small Philipse Manor Hall lot, entrance located on Warburton Ave. Parking also available next door at Warburton Garage, the Buena Vista garage downtown, or at metered street parking throughout the area.
Philipse Manor Hall's brand-new accessibility wing was specially designed to give people using wheelchairs and other mobility aids access to the second floor of the building, including the Gothic Chamber, which serves as a community gallery and event space. It includes four single user, unisex, ADA compliant restrooms for an improved visitor experience.
Looking to visit Philipse Manor Hall with your family? Our exhibits feature lots of touchable elements, audio, smells, digital interactives including augmented reality you can see from your smart phone, and talking portraits of historical people. You can even sit on the chairs!
To help kids navigate the exhibits, the staff at Philipse Manor Hall have developed a scavenger hunt perfect for kids age 6-12, but fun for grownups, too! Scavenger hunts are included free with general admission. Kids 12 & under get in free with grownup supervision.
