Bio
Alex DeTrana is a Senior Commercialization Manager and handles patenting, licensing, and commercialization for a broad array of technology areas at ORNL.
Prior to joining ORNL in 2022, he worked as a product manager for a technology firm, a technology scout for a food manufacturer, and in industrial sales for an industrial supplier. He also previously worked in Technology Transfer at ORNL from 2005-2014. In addition to earning his MBA from the University of Tennessee, DeTrana has a Master of Science in Polymer Science and Engineering from The University of Southern Mississippi and a Bachelor of Science from Ferrum College, where he majored in Biology and Environmental Science.
