  • This 30 Hour Online Basic Mediation Training is designed to provide a firm foundation in Facilitative Mediation, with a blend of theory and practice.  The training will introduce diverse skills designed to empower parties and support them as they work through conflicts.  The Model Standards of Conduct for Mediators (ABA, AAA, ACR 2005) includes five core values of mediation (Self-Determination, Impartiality, Confidentiality, Safety and Quality) which are touchstones of the training.  Specific topics to be covered include: getting the mediation process started, effective listening, organizing the discussion, generating movement, and overcoming barriers to an agreement.  The training will also address issues of ethics and cultural competence in mediation. A certificate of completion will be issued at the conclusion of the program.

This 30-hour training is approved for the 24-hour training under the Part 146 of the Rules of the Chief Administrative Judge. Final placement on any court roster is at the discretion of the local Administrative Judge and participation in a course that is either approved or pending approval does not guarantee placement on a local court roster.

Attendance at all six days of the program is required.
Registration is limited; advanced registration is strongly advised.

Live Program: $1295 for Members & Court Staff | $1495 for Nonmembers
