Zepf Center is opening a program for Lucas County residents struggling with psychiatric crises.

Crisis Services will initially offer a 24/7 Crisis CARE Line with a Crisis CARE Mobile Outreach Team providing assistance with mental health, addiction, employment and residential services.

When the Mental Health & Recovery Services Board of Lucas County was notified that Rescue Mental Health & Addiction Services would close June 30, the board asked Zepf Center to help uphold these services in the community.

The center has hired 17 displaced rescue crisis staff members and offered positions to 12 more so far.

The Crisis CARE Line is open 365 days a year with mental health professionals able to schedule face-to-face screenings as needed within 48 hours of the call or otherwise connect them to appropriate treatment services.
