This course prepares you to pass New Mexico’s State-Required Notary exam which is a requirement for all Notary applicants, after Jan. 1, 2022.

In lesson 1, we will provide instructions for how to apply to become a Notary.

In lesson 4 we cover the responsibilities you have as a Notary and what to do if you find yourself in several unique circumstances.

Lesson 5 covers misconduct, the penalties a Notary may face if they commit misconduct and the protections a Notary has against liability and misconduct
Exam Instructions:
60 minutes
50 questions
The exam must be taken in a single sitting.
You may skip a question and go back or change an answer but the exam will not submit for grading until all the questions have been answered.
You must achieve a score of 80% or higher to pass the exam.
You may re-take the exam as many times as needed to achieve a score of 80%.
