Grant Conditions

  • Properties must be located in the City of Miami Beach. 
  • Applicant must be property owner. 
  • Eligible properties must be either residential (single-family or multi-family) or commercial. 
  • The grant is “match” based: the City will reimburse 50% of total program costs up to $20,000.* 
  • Program costs include the property flood risk assessment, improvement design, and project construction.  
  • For low-to-moderate income (LMI) properties, 100% of program costs will be covered up to $20,000. 
  • In order to be eligible for funding, properties must be in good standing with the City and may not have any pending City fees or fines, or be involved in any litigation with the City of Miami Beach.
