Description

Moving is hard, but Lincoln County has put together a program to make your move easier and get you connected to the community. Here's the inside scoop on our favorite parts of the program:

  • 100% Kansas state income tax credit (if eligible): Lincoln County is located in Kansas’ Rural Opportunity Zone. New movers who relocate from out of state may be eligible for a state income tax credit. Check details and rules here.

  • Welcome potluck dinner and celebration with MakeMyMovers, local leadership and neighbors.

  • Tea Time with Marilyn, the Mother of Lincoln County Tourism: The communication nerve center of Lincoln County is a gathering table at The Village Lines, a local goods shop in downtown Lincoln. Here, Marilyn (the owner/proprietor) will introduce you to neighbors and help you get acquainted with the Lincoln County community. You don’t actually have to drink tea at Tea Time with Marilyn, but we know she’ll be spilling it. ;)

  • Free lot for your new build (optional): The City of Lincoln is offering free build-ready lots (complete with streets, water, sewer, etc) in a residential development to MakeMyMovers interested in building a new home. The lots are located just a few blocks from the high school, hospital, city park, and downtown.
