Employer participation

Employers can access training funding to supplement their current training support offerings to employees. This funding is not intended to supplant existing employer supports but rather provide additional resources to invest in current healthcare workers to enhance skills. For example, this funding may support expanding training offerings to an additional cohort of employees or creating new training offerings for your employees—but cannot be used to cover the costs of existing employer-provided trainings.

As long as training results in a certification or credential tied to healthcare, employers may have multiple options for training their employees—including hosting trainings on-site, partnering with other local employers to host trainings, sending employees to nearby training institutions, among others. Employers can submit a request for training support for employees

Training costs vary by program, length and credential. The TrainingForME partnership will, in most cases, support standard short-term training costs in the range of $1,000 to $3,000 per employee.
