The Muskegon Area District Library for the Visually and Physically Disabled (LVPD) is a FREE federal and state funded library service for those whose disabilities makes reading difficult or impossible. We provide those who qualify with audio books (also called Talking Books), players, and/or Braille books, free through the US Postal Service in both Muskegon and Ottawa counties. There is also an online version of our program called the Braille and Audio Reading Download, or BARD.  Click for more information about our Program and Materials. For more information on who is eligible for this service, visit our Eligibility page.

In addition to our program, we also have a physical library with a small Talking Book collection, an Adaptive Technology Computer Lab, and additional pieces of Adaptive Technology. For more information, click Adaptive Technology page.

If you would like more information about the LVPD program, call 231-737-6310 or contact the LVPD. Please let us know if you or someone you know could qualify for this program. We work to ensure “That All May Read.”
