The Challenge
The Lt. Governor's Computing Challenge is a statewide coding competition for Connecticut students. The "Coding for Good" challenge is open to all students who can enter on their own or as a team through their schools and through informal education partners such as the CT Stem Academy, The Girl Scouts, the Y’s, and other after school programs. This challenge is inspired by the work of the Governor's Council on Women and Girls: Subcommittee on Education and STEAM. This Challenge would not be possible without the support of our partners and sponsors.

The Challenge Structure
Connecticut students in grades 3 through 12 are encouraged to create applications designed to inspire health, wellness, and positive change. This year’s Lt. Governor’s Computing Challenge includes three options for submission: concept challenge, prototype challenge and development challenge. Students can work individually or as a team to submit to one challenge. All submissions due by Friday, April 26, 2024.
In the Lt. Governor’s Computing Challenge, there are no traditional winners or rankings based on first, second, or third place. There are, however, a number of ways we seek to recognize and reward both teacher and students for the many innovative and impressive submissions that are sure to be a part of this challenge.
