Easton’s new postmaster is a city native who delivered mail in the area for decades

Nothing stops the mail, according to the familiar United States Postal Service creed, but on Friday morning a mailroom in the Lehigh Valley stilled as the newest postmaster was sworn in.

Standing among sorting bins and cardboard boxes full of packages, Joe Kostolanci became Easton’s 36th postmaster, a role first held by Robert Traill in 1778, according to USPS records.
