WELCOME TEACHERS AND LIBRARIANS

Watch the Latinx KidLit Book Festival streamed live (for free) on the festival’s YouTube channel!

YouTube links can also be found on each individual event in the Festival’s schedule section of the navigation.

The festival includes free events suitable for students of every age—from pre-K to 12th grade—and every background and identity. We hope the festival will be a virtual field trip where students can learn, discover new books and engage with kidlit creators.

The Latinx Kidlit Book Festival in collaboration with children’s publishers are giving away FREE classroom sets of books to schools across the country. Entries are collected throughout the year and winning sets are shipped on a rolling basis. There are 2 ways to enter (we recommend doing both to increase your chances!).

  1. Student Questions: Your students or young library patrons can submit questions for authors and illustrators to answer during the festival. These questions can be generic and do not need to be creator specific. SUBMIT A QUESTION.

  2. Giveaway Form: Educators and Librarians can enter our online form for another chance to win. ENTER TO WIN.

Preview of Database

Dozens of festival organizers and volunteers have worked on a compilation of children’s books written and illustrated by Latinx authors. On this database, you will find the author’s name and website, book title, genre, representation, themes, and link to educator’s guide.

This simple school visit database aims to serve as a resource for schools and libraries that would like to host a Latinx author or illustrator and can afford to do so.

Please note the information in this database is volunteered by the author/illustrator for the educators to contact directly.
