MONTICELLO DE LA CRUZ. BEEN A LONG YEAR BY ISOLATION. I’VE JUST BEEN ME AND MY DOGS, SO I’M JUST EXCITED. TO GET OUTSIDE, YOU KNOW AND FIND SOME SUNSHINE. IT’S GONNA BE REALLY NICE AND OF COURSE TO SEE MY SON. HE JUST MOVED DOWN HERE LAST SUMMER AND AS VACCINE DISTRIBUTION EXPANDS ACROSS THE NATION FOUR DAYS OF SEEING OVER 12,000 PASSENGERS PASSED THROUGH TSA. THAT’S THE MOST THAT WE’VE SEEN IN. A SINCE THE PANDEMIC HIT A YEAR AGO MORE PEOPLE ARE TAKING A MUCH WANTED VACATION THE LAST PROBABLY THREE TIMES I’VE HAD TO TRAVEL THE PLANES HAVE. BEEN ENTIRELY FULL OR NEARLY FULL AND THAT’S ABOUT TWICE AS MANY PEOPLE AS I’M USED TO DURING THE PAST YEAR CDC UPDATING ITS GUIDELINES SAYING THAT FULLY VACCINATED AMERICANS CAN TRAVEL SAFELY WITHIN THE UNITED STATES AND DON’T NEED TO GET TESTED BEFORE OR AFTER TRAVELING AS THEY ARE LESS LIKELY TO GET AND SPREAD COVID-19 BUT WEARING A FACE MASK WASHING YOUR HANDS OFTEN AND STAYING SIX FEET FROM OTHERS IS STILL RECOMMENDED A MEASURE THAT MIGHT COST A LITTLE MORE BUT THAT ROBIN IS STILL KING I JUST UPGRADE AND I GET WITH THE WALL IN FRONT OF ME, YOU KNOW IN BETWEEN BUSINESS OR FIRST CLASS, SO I’M JUST I’M SPEND A LITTLE BIT MONEY MORE MONEY ON MY AIR FLIGHT TO DO IT JUST TO CREATE MORE SPACE A PERSON IS CONSIDERED FULLY VACCINATED TWO WEEKS AFTER THEIR SECOND DOSE IN A TWO-DO SERIES OR TWO WEEKS AFTER A SINGLE DOSE VACCINE CDC STILL RECOMMENDS THAT PEOPLE WHO AREN’T FULLY VACCINATED SHOULD SELF QUARANTINE FOR SEVEN DAYS AFTER A TRIP IF THEY GET TESTED AND IF THEY DON’T GET TESTED THAT SELF QUARANT SHOULD BE 10 DAYS IN SACRAME

It's been a long year of isolation and as vaccine distribution expands across the nation, so does air travel. Leer en español"Four days of seeing over 12,000 passengers pass through TSA. That's the most that we've seen in a day since the pandemic hit a year ago," said Samantha Mott, spokesperson for the Sacramento International Airport.Mott adds that travelers should arrive early at the airport as the parking lots have been filling up recently. "The probably last three times I’ve had to travel, the planes have either been entirely or nearly full, and that's about twice as many people as I'm used to during the last year," said frequent flyer and traveling nurse Amy Cain. The CDC updated its guidelines Friday, saying that fully vaccinated Americans can travel safely within the United States and don't need to get tested before or after traveling, as they are less likely to get and spread COVID-19.However, wearing a face mask, washing your hands often and staying 6 feet from others is still recommended. A measure that might cost a little more for some passengers — but is still being implemented to protect everyone."I upgrade and get the wall in front of me in between business and first-class. So I'm spending a little bit more money on my air flight to do it just to create more space," said Robin King, who's already been vaccinated.A person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second dose in a two-dose series like Pfizer or Moderna, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine like Johnson & Johnson. As of Friday, 101,804,762 have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and 57,984,785 people are fully vaccinated.CDC still recommends people who aren't fully vaccinated to self-quarantine for seven days after a trip if they get tested for COVID-19 and 10 days if they don't get tested.
