Organized Retail Crime Trend Meeting

  • Wed, July 20, 2022
  • 09:00 - 12:00
  • 655 E 3rd St, San Bernardino, CA 92415

The IECIAA, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and Stater Bros. Markets will be hosting an organized retail crime trend meeting at the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. This meeting will be comprised of various LE officers/detectives/analysts and loss prevention/organized retail crime representatives from various retail businesses.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss/share current retail crime trends that are occurring throughout the county and discuss ways to work together to identify those responsible and/or ways to combat the thefts.

Like other cities/counties throughout the state, the Inland Empire has been experiencing an increase in retail crime at its local commercial business/shopping centers.

Crime analysts work closely with detectives assigned to these various cases and are looking for a better way to link these crimes committed by offenders at the various retail businesses throughout the county. The same offender may be responsible for committing thefts at the same retail business, but because the thefts are occurring in different cities/jurisdictions, it may take weeks before law enforcement personnel from the various cities connect the dots

We encourage those attending to bring flyers/bulletins and business cards.

We encourage those who work retail crime to register for this FREE meeting/discussion. This will be open to LE personnel and loss prevention personnel from retail businesses.
