General Statement of Duties

This position is located in the Family and Children's Medicaid Unit in the Income Maintenance Program area.  The primary purpose of this unit is to administer the policies of the various Medicaid programs to assist people with accessing benefits available through the programs administered by the workers in this unit.  

The primary purpose of the Family and Children's Medicaid Supervisor II is to direct the work of the unit.  This position directly supervises ten full time Income Maintenance Caseworker II's, one full time IMC III, three part-time IMC II's, and one full-time IMC I.  The employee in this position is responsible for planning and organizing the work of the unit, assessing and making recommendations about budgetary needs, setting the work standards, recruiting staff when there are vacancies, planning and providing staff training, reviewing and evaluating the work of staff, and counseling and disciplining staff as the need arises.

Minimum Education and Experience

Required Minimum Training:  

Three years’ experience as a caseworker or investigator in an income maintenance program, preferable with one year of supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

TUITION REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM
Employees may be reimbursed for eligible expenses up to a total of eight hundred dollars ($800) per fiscal year

1.5% salary increase per advanced certification pertaining to the job
