PSICC releases revised proposal for the Integrated Management of Target Shooting
PUEBLO, Colo., Nov. 28, 2023 – The Integrated Management of Target Shooting project alternatives and preliminary environmental effects were released for public input by the Pike-San Isabel National Forests & Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands today. The project, located on the Pike National Forest, addresses the need to provide opportunities for target shooting on National Forest System lands. It identifies areas unsuitable for dispersed target shooting and locations to be developed as shooting ranges. It also establishes an adaptive management framework to manage target shooting in the future.
Project Protecting Denver Water Supply Receives Federal Funding
The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law provides the Forest Service with new authorities and additional critical funding to address risks from catastrophic wildfire and other disasters, strengthen fire-related infrastructure, make better use of the research tools, and support needed ecosystem and structural improvements that benefit people and wildlife.
