2020 Boot Camp Dates & Locations

Wildland firefighting is a very exciting career, providing opportunities for career enhancement while working in a team environment, with exceptional leaders in the outdoors. The job is one of exhilaration and adventure; yet, requires exceptional physical conditioning, and mental aptitude.

The intent of this Boot Camp is to provide you with a supportive, educational environment, while providing opportunities to obtain a career in wildland fire management through facilitation and mentoring. Boot Camp will encompass wildland firefighter classroom and field training required to become a wildland firefighter. This will include enrichment sessions to provide you with a full understanding of the job, associated responsibilities, and challenges.

The application deadline for all Women in Wildfire training is September 10, 2020, through the Wildland Fire Training Portal. Applicants will need to make a profile. Apply online today!

The national forests are monitoring updates but have decided the exposures to be too great for WIWF training this year. Please continue to check back for future offerings.
