Seats now available for sale on weekly Brisbane to Honiara flights until end of October 2021

 Solomon Airlines has confirmed passengers can now book seats on all regular Friday cargo flights operating between Brisbane and Honiara through to the end of October 2021.

Flight IE701 will depart Brisbane every Friday at 10.00am and arrive in Honiara at 2:15pm. 

Passengers who meet all eligibility conditions will be able to travel on the services scheduled to operate weekly until 29 October 2021. Seating allocation on the aircraft will be limited in line with available capacity at Government approved quarantine accommodation.  The airline has confirmed that with the approval of the Solomon Islands Government, the 4th flight departing each month will be available to passengers from all countries, with other flights available only from those countries classified ‘low risk’. 

The airline has confirmed currently Honiara to Brisbane flights over this period are not yet scheduled as they are dependent on Australian Government approved allocations which vary month to month.

FLIGHTS FROM BRISBANE TO HONIARA – 23 APRIL, 28 MAY, 25 JUNE, 23 JULY, 27 AUGUST, 24 SEPTEMBER, 22 OCTOBER 2021

Limited seats are available to passengers originating from ‘high-risk’ countries as classified by the Solomon Islands Government. Passengers will be required to provide three negative COVID-19 PCR test results to be able to board, one between 18 and 21 days prior to departure, the 2nd between 8 and 11 days prior to departure, and the final test within 3 days prior to departure. All passengers will be subject to minimum 3 weeks mandatory approved quarantine on arrival in Honiara and multiple COVID-19 tests.

FLIGHTS FROM BRISBANE TO HONIARA – OTHER FRIDAYS UNTIL 29 OCTOBER 2021

Availability is limited to those who have spent the 28 days prior to intended departure, in a ‘low-risk’ country as classified by the Solomon Islands Government.  Those countries currently include Australia, New Zealand, China (Taiwan only), and South Pacific countries (excludes Papua New Guinea and French Polynesia). Risk status is subject to change at any time. Two negative COVID-19 PCR test results are required, one taken 14 days prior to departure and a final test taken no earlier than 3 days prior to departure. Passengers will be subject to minimum 2 weeks mandatory approved quarantine in Honiara and multiple COVID-19 tests.

All foreign nationals will be responsible for self-funding their required quarantine in approved accommodation in Honiara.

All Solomon Airlines flights comply fully with the COVID-19 regulations of the relevant countries. Solomon Airlines crew onboard the airline’s A320 aircraft wear facemasks and gloves for the duration of service and catering is minimal to reduce contact between passengers and crew.
