Women's Day Reception

I'm excited to share an inaugural event I'm hosting to commemorate Women's History Month! This novel event will be held at the AFI Silver Theatre in downtown Silver Spring on Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 3 to 5 p.m. Our theme for this year, "Women Who Tell Our Stories, Tell Their Stories", will feature guest speakers from prominent women in media. We'll be watching a short film, followed by a dynamic panel of women trailblazers who have made tremendous strides as professionals in the news media. Our confirmed speakers are Suzanne Pollak, Reporter with Montgomery Community Media; Jordan Lindsay, Public Information Officer for the Montgomery County Council; Andrea Sarralde, Emmy® Award Winning Journalist with Montgomery Community Media; and Jenn White, Host of NPR's 1A Podcast.
