Menus, documentation and production records for a school kitchen can seem overwhelming for new staff. This training will go over the basics.

About this event

"I was hired to cook for kids" has been the mantra of wide-eyed, first-time School Nutrition professionals as they look at the sheaves of paper in the Production books. We will walk through the meaning of menu components, documentation and other jargon of the National School Lunch and Breakfast programs and give examples to help make the work easier and efficient and hopefully FUN. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. with the training starting at 1 p.m.. Bring copies of your menus and production records and we will make sure you are off to a good start.
