DFW Healthcare Brief: Prism Health’s New Office and a Med Tech HQ relocates to Carrollton

Prism Health North Texas is building new administrative and executive office headquarters and patient services center on the Baylor Medical Center Campus in East Dallas. The offices are across the street from Prism’s new patient services center, the Worth Street Health Center. The office space and patient services center were designed by DLR Group to be tranquil and inclusive with design elements to support the maxims of the organization.


Deep vein thrombosis company Precision Medical Products is moving to Carrollton. Founded in California, it is the largest of its kind in the industry, and recently acquired Innovamed Health and Vena Group earlier this year, making it the largest mobile DVT patent holder in the nation. The new headquarters will employ 70 people.


SMU and Children’s Health are launching a collaboration are partnering to improve the health activity level of children through Children’s Health Andrews Institute for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. The Youth Sports Impact Partnership hopes to improve access to youth sports, prevent injury and share age-appropriate training and development practices.


Medical City Frisco has launched Collin and Denton County’s only only heartburn and reflux center, which focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of heartburn and gastroesophageal reflux disease. About 20 percent of the population suffers from GERD, whose symptoms include heartburn, regurgitation, acid reflux, and shortness of breath.


Children’s Advocacy center Alliance For Children broke ground in October on a 24,000 square-foot addition and remodel of its Tarrant County facility. The organization supports child abuse victims and their protective families. It is part of the nonprofit’s $15.8 million campaign to meet the needs of Arlington and the surrounding campaign.
