Appliance, HVAC, & Electric Lawn Care Rebates

The DCSEU offers up to $500 rebates for qualifying electric lawn mowers, $35 rebates on qualifying dehumidifiers, and $50–$700 rebates on select ENERGY STAR^® certified clothes washers, clothes dryers, smart thermostats, refrigerators, heat pumps, and electric water heaters.

Rebates for the following equipment (dehumidifiers, clothes washers, clothes dryers, and refrigerators) are subject to change based on potential future programmatic changes pending District of Columbia's Public Service Commission regulatory proceedings.

All other rebate amounts are good through September 30, 2024.

Limit of one rebate per appliance type per electric utility account per calendar year.

Smart Thermostats: Valid for purchases made 10/1/23 through 09/30/24.

• Rebate submissions must be submitted online or postmarked by 09/30/24 in order to qualify. Models must be listed on the DCSEU Qualified Product List to qualify for a rebate. Total rebate value cannot exceed purchase price excluding taxes, shipping and installation charges, and cannot be doubled or tripled. Smart thermostats must be fully installed (either self-installed or installed by a contractor) and operational prior to submitting a rebate application.

Water Heaters: Valid for purchases made 10/1/23 through 09/30/24.
