Online Event: A Conversation with Martha Bárcena, Outgoing Ambassador of Mexico to the U.S.

February 5, 2021 • 10:00 – 11:00 am EST

Please join the CSIS Americas Program for a virtual armchair discussion with Martha Bárcena, outgoing Ambassador of Mexico to the United States.

Ambassador Bárcena joined the Mexican Foreign Service in 1979, and has since served in various capacities, including Ambassador to Denmark, Turkey, Georgia, and Azerbaijan, among other countries. She presented her credentials to President Trump in January of 2019, officially becoming the first female Ambassador of Mexico to the United States.

This discussion, moderated by Senior Vice President Daniel Runde, will focus on the Ambassador's past two and a half years in Washington, and possibilities for the U.S.-Mexico relationship under a new U.S. administration.

This event is made possible thanks to general support to CSIS.
