New Health Equity Timeline Contextualizes Health Disparities: Health inequities experienced today stem from histories that have impacted communities’ determinants of health. The new Health Equity Timeline features over 80 significant policies and events in King County that speak to the marginalization and resilience of systemically disadvantaged communities.
Exploring Firearm Injury in King County Using the New Emergency Medical Services Data Dashboard: Typically, gun violence data on hospitalization or death have long lag times between the incident and data release. A newly published data dashboard uses Emergency Medical Services (EMS) shows firearm injury activity and trends throughout King County to provide a unique opportunity to learn about recent firearm injuries in our community.
Understanding Student Health & Well-Being: New King County Dashboard On Student Health Indicators: The newly updated King County School District Health Profiles Dashboard is an interactive dashboard that brings attention to the overall health and well-being of students in our community using data from the Washington State Healthy Youth Survey (HYS) to paint a comprehensive picture of student health for seven school districts across Seattle and south King County.
In partnership with Communities of Opportunity, Communities Count is offering free data and evaluation workshops for community based organizations in King County.
