On Tuesday, June 9, 2020, the Glendale City Council approved the Small Business Grant Program to help Glendale small businesses experiencing difficulties related to COVID-19.

 

The Program consists of two grants:

  1. Small Business Recovery Grant

  2. Low Income Small Business Grant

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Grant Amount: $ 5,000

  • Grants will be awarded to qualified applicants based on a lottery process.

  • Businesses may only apply for one of the grants or risk disqualification.

  • Only one grant application per household will be accepted.

  • Grants will be awarded to qualified applicants in a lottery process.

  • Businesses must be located in Glendale. 

  • Businesses located in a commercial zone must have a Business Registration Certificate or be in the process of obtaining one.

  • Home-based businesses with a current or pending Home Occupation Permit may apply.

  • Businesses that have previously received Federal pandemic funding are not eligible for a Low-Income Small Business Grant but are eligible for a Small Business Recovery grant. 

  • Individuals or businesses receiving a ROUND 1 or 2 Small Business Grant are not eligible for ROUND 3.

LOW INCOME SMALL BUSINESS GRANT

A one-time $5,000 grant to assist restaurants and small non-essential businesses with general operational expenses. Businesses must meet all eligibility criteria listed in the Grant Guidelines.

SMALL BUSINESS RECOVERY GRANT

A one-time $5,000 grant to small businesses to assist with operating expenses. Businesses must meet all eligibility criteria listed in the Grant Guidelines.

INFORMATIONAL WEBINAR

An informational webinar was held on May 26, 2021, to help potential applicants understand the difference between each grant & determine which one is best for them.
