SOUTHINGTON - State representatives Chris Poulos, Francis Rexford Cooley and Donna Veach recently toured the LiveWell facility in Plantsville, which cares for patients with Alzheimer's disease.
The legislators visited the new "resilient living center" at LiveWell, located at 1261 S. Main St., on July 27. Katie Luce, director of community services at LiveWell, joined them on the tour and explained how the center provides patients with activities to keep them active and slow cognitive decline. The legislators were also informed about the apartment-style living facilities under construction at LiveWell, which will allow patients to have a social living environment as long as their health allows.
