Do they like to be greeted with smiles and high-fives from staff and fellow campers for accomplishing something new? Does your child wish to fit in just for being who they are? At Y Summer Day Camp, we are here to make your kids feel welcome and to help them quickly realize this is a place where they belong and can be themselves – try new things – learn new skills – make new friends – and be a part of something great! A camp experience can be a powerful tool for personal growth. Knowing this, we strive to offer the highest quality camps with the most diverse opportunities. Great care goes into creating a fun and safe environment. We work hard to hire staff of the highest integrity and personal and spiritual maturity, and are enthusiastic about camp. All staff are thoroughly screened and background checked and receive training in first aid, CPR, safety and child abuse prevention, character building, and program implementation. You can depend on the Y to ensure camp is well supervised. Summer Camp seems far off, but it will be here before you know it. We hope you and your family will join us and help make it their best summer ever. Our camp day is built on an open programming model where campers will experience daily opportunities to select which games, crafts, or activities they participate in. Not only will they get to follow their own interests, but they’ll make their own path throughout the summer. There will be organized events and large group games outside the regular open programming periods. Each week, different fun opportunities will come to our camps. Being part of our summer day camp program goes beyond silly songs and games. Camp is about learning who you are, becoming what you want to be, developing new skills and healthy habits, reaching goals, and building relationships.
