For all.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining systems and core procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial statements and data for senior management. They should track financial information in a well-organized manner and assist the Controller in all aspects related to finance at the organization. This candidate should be comfortable analyzing balance sheets in order to forecast revenue and keep track of accounts payable and receivable.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Your Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Provides leadership and daily direction to the accounting & finance team.</li><li>Ensures all accounting transactions are recorded in an effective and timely manner in accordance with GAAP.</li><li>Writes month end journal entries and accruals.</li><li>Performs month-end accounting functions, including balance sheet account reconciliations.</li><li>Balances intercompany accounts.</li><li>Completes weekly cash forecast.</li><li>Assists with analyzing and evaluating plant operating expenses.</li><li>Assists with year-end closing.</li><li>Completes monthly assets performance package.</li><li>Assists in budget and forecasting.</li><li>Takes the Lead on conducting internal and external auditing procedures and ensures Management Controls are in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley.</li><li>Serves as back-up to the accounting staff.</li><li>Provides information for the minority spending on a monthly basis.</li><li>Inventory Tag Control for physical inventory done annually.</li><li>Support Controller in all financial matters of the organization.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Who we are looking for</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.</li><li>3 - 5 years experience in accounting and finance, preferably in a JIT automotive manufacturing facility.</li><li>1-year of people management experience is preferred.</li><li>Strong technical, analytical, communication and presentation skills.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and finance software systems (SAP).</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What we offer</strong></p><p>At Magna, you can expect an engaging and dynamic environment where you can help to develop industry-leading automotive technologies.
