Brilliant Treatment Services holding celebration in honor of National Recovery Month

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio — A Jefferson County Treatment Center is planning a community event in honor of National Recovery Month.

Brilliant Treatment Services opened in Brilliant in February.

It offers medication-assisted treatment, counseling, and training to those battling an opioid addiction.

The event will be held Tuesday in the facility's parking lot.

Guests will enjoy a donut truck and access to resources.

A biodegradable balloon release will unite the community in a special moment.

“We want to celebrate the patients who have made it on the other side of their addiction,” said Michelle Norman, executive director, Brilliant Treatment Services. “We want to wrap our arms and prayers around the people who are still struggling with their addiction, and we want to honor those who have lost their life to addiction.”

The address is 1479 3rd Street in Brilliant.

It starts at 10 a.m. with the balloon release scheduled for 12:30.

Everyone is invited to show support for those in the community battling addiction.
