What is a Substance Use Disorder (SUD)?
Substance Use Disorders occur when the recurrent use of alcohol and/or drugs causes significant impairment, including health problems, disability, and failure to meet major responsibilities at work, school, or home.

Spotting signs in a family member or friend
A person with a SUD would have changes in appetite or sleep patterns, deterioration of physical appearance, decline of grooming habits, sudden weight loss or weight gain, tremors, slurred speech, or impaired coordination.

What can I do?
