The WMC recognizes the hardships faced daily by practitioners and urges you to seek any mental health care and support you may need. It is in the best interest of yourself, your patients, and your colleagues to take care of your physical and mental well-being, and we encouage you to seek care.
The WMC was recognized as a WellBeing First Champion for 2023 and is among twenty-one other U.S. States who have made these changes to protect practitioner health.
In order to receive this award, ALL IN: WellBeing First for Healthcare, a coalition of leading health care organizations, has verified that WMC licensure applications are free from intrusive and stigmatizing language around mental health care and treatment. The WMC offers a "safe haven" provision (which you can see below) in our application.
