History of the Virginia V: Still Steaming After 100 Years

August 11, 7:00 pm, Free
Online via Zoom

The steamer Virginia V is a symbol of the maritime history of Puget Sound and is celebrating her 100th birthday this year. Her history is intertwined with that of Vashon Island. As part of our Maritime Month, we will explore not just the ship's history, but also the impact the Virginia boats made on the West Pass communities on Vashon and on the peninsula.
