Shirts to Quilts!

Angela Edwards of the Wasatch County Library, UT, had sixteen years of CSLP t-shirts, and since they had served their purpose, she turned them into quilts!

The quilts were made to fit a twin bed, and they were donated to the Utah Library Association to use in their silent auction at their Annual Conference this year.

The bidding started on Wednesday afternoon and concluded on Thursday evening. Both quilts brought in more money than they were valued at. One of the winning bidders said that she was so excited because the quilt she won included themes she had participated in as a Youth Services Librarian. The funds from the auction went to a scholarship account to help fund opportunities for library staff to attend further trainings or conferences.

Beautiful!
