What is the SCORP?
SCORP stands for Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan. This is a 5-year plan to guide recreational development in the State.
What is the purpose?
The SCORP identifies the demands, needs, and resources of outdoor recreation in Mississippi. The plan sets goals and recommendations for future implementation.
MDWFP updates the plan every five years for the state to be eligible to receive grant funds for recreational development from the Land and Water Conservation Fund administered by the National Park Service.
