Pregnancy and Parenting Young Children

CFD provides mental health and support services for pregnant individuals and new parents navigating the perinatal period.

Clinicians provide trauma-focused therapy to help families heal and grow.

CFD has therapists who specialize in treating perinatal mental health concerns.

While postpartum depression may be commonly known, some people also experience increased anxiety, difficulty bonding with their baby, mood swings, post-traumatic stress, obsessive-compulsive disorder, or even psychosis.

CFD’s perinatal clinicians provide services to children and parents from pregnancy to four years of age.

Therapeutic approaches used include Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Video-Feedback Intervention to Promote Positive Parenting (VIPP) and the Zero to Three Positive Parenting curriculum.

We also offer support groups for pregnancy and early parenthood.
