Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center has opened its Heart and Mind Wellbeing Center, the first center of its kind in the United States.

The Heart and Mind Wellbeing Center will provide comprehensive psychological support and mental health care for families affected by Congenital Heart Disease. The center focuses on mental and physical health for patients and the wellbeing of their families.

The care given at the new medical center is provided for all ages. Officials said psychologists, social workers, and child life specialists will be there to help those in need of support through the difficult times. 

“Our goal is to support patients and families through diagnosis, treatment and transitions, so they feel informed, empowered, and supported at every stage,” said Nadine Kasparian, director of Cincinnati Children’s Heart and Mind Wellbeing Center.
