Citizen Science in Academic Libraries

The New England Science Boot Camp for Librarians programming centers around three topical lectures.  These lectures include one each in the life sciences, physical sciences, and health sciences from researchers in the discipline, most often faculty at the host institution.  Each topical section will feature an overview speaker, who summarizes the interests and scope of the discipline, and a research lecturer, whose presentation goes into more detail on a single research project.  Capstones focus on timely topics of professional development and are intended to be more interactive than the lectures.  Previous capstones include a grant writing workshop, patent searching, behind-the-scenes with the IRB, and data management plan reviewing training.

This in person event offers three registration options:
- the full package including two overnight stays in the campus dormitories and seven meals
- you will have the option of adding Tuesday night for an additional fee
- the commuter option, without overnight accommodations
- one day registration, which includes all meals and programming for one of the three days

While this conference is focused on fostering networking in New England, we welcome interested attendees from anywhere.  We look forward to seeing you for a fun and informative conference.
