SeaLog

Introduction

SeaLog is a program for collecting seabird data using Windows 10 computers.

Updates

Keep in mind that you must use matching versions of QA/QSea with SeaLog (SeaLog 2.2 and QA/QSea 2.2, for example).

If you are transitioning from SeaLog version 1.5 to 2.x:

  • "Clear Data" to recreate the internal database with user fields and restart SeaLog.
  • If you are using customized JSON configuration files (hotkeys.json, optionalFields.json, and userLists.json), you will need to use the base versions of these files installed in C:\Sealog\config, and customize them before running 2.x.

Installation Errors

If you get the error: Code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME_140_1.dll was not found. when trying to run SeaLog for the first time, try installing vc_redist.x64.exe from Microsoft's site, or download it from here.
