SeaLog is a program for collecting seabird data using Windows 10 computers.
Keep in mind that you must use matching versions of QA/QSea with SeaLog (SeaLog 2.2 and QA/QSea 2.2, for example).
If you are transitioning from SeaLog version 1.5 to 2.x:
hotkeys.json
,
optionalFields.json
, and userLists.json
), you will need to use the
base versions of these files installed in C:\Sealog\config, and
customize them before running 2.x.If you get the error: Code execution cannot proceed because
VCRUNTIME_140_1.dll was not found.
when trying to run SeaLog for the
first time, try installing vc_redist.x64.exe
from Microsoft's
site,
or download it from here.

Distance/Angle version installer, sealog_installer_2.3.1_da.exe, 185 MB: This is a custom version that uses a slightly different database, so do not install this unless you know this is the version you want. If you have installed SeaLog on a computer previously, you must clear the database before this version will work ("Clear Data" button in SeaLog, then restart). It is also incompatible with QA/QSea.
BETA Distance/Angle version installer, sealog_installer_2.3.1_dar.exe, 185 MB: This is a beta version of the custom Distance/Angle version. It also uses a slightly different database, so do not install this unless you know this is the version you want.
