SOFA is a grassroots organization providing resources, offering collaborative ideas, and advocacy for change in the opioid epidemic at the local, state and national level.
Our Mission
The mission of SOFA INC. shall be to serve grassroots education and awareness efforts in the furtherance of substance use prevention through raising awareness of the relationship between substance use disorder and mental health issues.
Our History
In 2014, 19 year old Archie Badura was one of the 622 people who died of an opioid overdose in Wisconsin.
Archie’s family did not want his death to be in vain, and started an awareness campaign to highlight the dangers of opioids and the toll that substance use disorder can have on families.
