Volunteer Ally Program

Through our Ally Program, we pair volunteers with people experiencing homelessness to support them on their journey. Volunteer allies are there to listen, provide companionship, connect clients with resources, and help them realize their goals.

We are always recruiting volunteers for our Gardenview and
Community ally programs as the need for support continues to grow
in our community.

Being an ally requires a 6-month commitment where volunteer allies
and participants meet in-person twice per month and are available
for phone calls and check-in’s in between. Being an ally is an
incredibly rewarding volunteer experience, and we see participants
thrive when paired with someone who is excited to see them and
cares about their well-being.

Road2Home provides training for all volunteer allies during their
onboarding, discussing trauma-informed care and how trauma shows
up in relationships, how to work with vulnerable populations, and
more.

If you would like to sign up to be a volunteer ally please complete
our volunteer application here, or contact our ally program manager at allyprogram@road2home.org for more info about the program!
