ABOUT US

The Philadelphia Activities Fund is a nonprofit corporation established by the Mayor and City Council to foster and promote educational values of sportsmanship, the arts, and health to individuals in the City of Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Activities Fund provides funding to support, enhance and serve community and recreation organizations and activities within the City of Philadelphia (including, without limitation, sports, dance, arts and health) and encouraging and increasing opportunities for involvement, instruction and participation in activities by diverse constituencies.

Anavi Strategies guides mission-driven organizations such as government agencies, nonprofits, and philanthropies towards thoughtful strategic planning, designing transformative initiatives and making greater social impact through data-driven and empathetic practices. Beginning September 2023, Anavi Strategies has served as the Project Manager for the Philadelphia Activities Fund to design and implement the grant program, and address the program’s customer service needs.

WHO CAN APPLY
FOR THE PAF GRANT

Activities Fund grants are awarded to organizations, initiatives, programs, and/or activities operating on a nonprofit or not-for-profit basis. Non-profit organizations that have received Philadelphia Cultural Fund grants are not eligible for the Philadelphia Activities Fund grant. Those who receive grants are required to submit annual Identification of Funds Reports detailing how the money spent. Additional details will be provided in the grant contract.

The average grant award is between $500 – $1,000.

The Fund awards grant money to projects that Serve diverse audiences.
Provide skills training.
Offer learning or motivational experiences. APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED That money can be used for things like: Supplies.
Materials.
Umpiring and referee fees.
Postage.
Other program costs. The grant cannot be used for things like: Capital costs, like repairing buildings or new construction.
The grant cannot be used for salaries.
For-profit entities are not eligible.
Organizations that have received Philadelphia Cultural Fund Grants are not eligible.
Applicants must complete an Identification of Funds Report for any previously awarded grant before receiving a new award.
