Hello Philadelphia Stakeholders, Parents, Caregivers, and Educators

You all are invited to the next event in the #RingTheAlarm series, our Parent and Caregiver Summit focusing on building parent power and advocacy advocacy to push for equitable education justice through regional community conversations!

The meetings will take place virtually on April 19th Tuesday 430-6pm  and April 20th 630-8pm on Zoom.

The event will be co-hosted by the Philadelphia Home & School Council, Our City Our Schools, and Parents United for Public Education, Councilmember Kendra Brooks, Councilmember Helen Gym and Representative Elizabeth Fiedler.

 Philadelphia Home and School Council, Parents United and a group of other amazing organizations/people (OCOS, West Philly Coalition for Neighborhood Schools, and CM Brooks, CM Gym and Representative Elizabeth Fiedler) are hosting the Parents Summit this year virtually on April 19th and April 20th as two identical summits at two different times to try and accommodate as many people as possible.

The goal is to provide a space for caregivers and parents to get some information, connect and for the various parent organizing groups to hear what issues are most pressing for the  coming school year.  

There will be facilitated breakout rooms on a variety of topics including: opt-out, school facilities, and budgets and space for parents from various regions of the city to connect.
